Promoting the Integration and Well Being of Body, Mind & Spirit
This programme is designed to discover how faith complements our well being. It views health as a balanced integration of the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual dimensions of human life. Under the direction of the Parish Nurse, the programme aims to develop a holistic approach to health and healing for the church and its members.
What is a Health Ministry?
Health is not simply a lack of disease. It is a balanced integration of the physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual dimensions of human life. The mandate of the Health Ministries team is to discover how faith compliments our well being and to develop programmes such as parish nursing that have a holistic approach to health and healing for the church and its ministries.
By reclaiming the biblical and historical healing mandate of the church, the Health Ministries Team seeks to provide opportunities for health and wholeness in the context of faith.

The Parish Nurse is a registered nurse who is a part of the Health Ministries Team and who works to identify and help to meet the physical, mental and spiritual needs of the whole person to promote wellness.
