Sunday Seminars

A new Adult Sunday Seminar begins on Sunday January 10 at 9.00 a.m. in the Allan Room. Over a ten week period, the Seminar will examine Living Faith, the most recent of the Presbyterian Church’s confessions of faith. The aim of this class will be to give participants confidence in knowing what it is that Canadian Presbyterians believe, as well as the whole context of confession any Christian belief at all in contemporary Canada. It will be led by Mr. James Sikkema who is a doctoral candidate in philosophy and part-time lecturer at Redeemer University College.

‘Family, Parenting and the Church’ with Dr. Andrew Root

Family, Parenting, and the Church: Examining Our Cultural Changes

No doubt parenting is a difficult journey, one filled with great joy and moments so near to despair. In this presentation we will explore the cultural transition that family has been under and the ways this has changed our parenting styles and perceptions of our young people. We will see how this has affected the very way that church has seen adolescents and parents.
